In a thrilling overtime game, the Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 142-138 to take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 25 points, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points and 10 assists. The Celtics also got a big boost from their bench, as Marcus Smart and Grant Williams combined for 32 points.

The Pacers were led by Domantas Sabonis, who had 30 points and 18 rebounds. Malcolm Brogdon added 22 points, and TJ Warren scored 20 points. The Pacers fought hard and had a chance to win the game in regulation, but Tatum hit a clutch three-pointer with just seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.

In overtime, the Celtics took control of the game and never looked back. Tatum scored seven points in overtime, and Brown added six points. The Celtics also hit 10 of their 12 free throws in overtime to seal the victory.

The Celtics now lead the series 1-0 and will host Game 2 on Thursday night. The Pacers will need to find a way to slow down Tatum and Brown if they want to tie the series.
