Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 25 points, while Jaylen Brown added 23 points and 10 assists. The Celtics also got a big boost from their bench, as Marcus Smart and Grant Williams combined for 32 points.

The Pacers were led by Domantas Sabonis, who had 30 points and 18 rebounds. Malcolm Brogdon added 22 points, and TJ Warren scored 20 points. The Pacers fought hard and had a chance to win the game in regulation, but Tatum hit a clutch three-pointer with just seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.
